Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 August 2026
This policy describes how LoveKameleon handles personal data, and the limits of our responsibility for it. It is informational and does not constitute legal advice.
1. Controller
The operator of LoveKameleon is the controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us through the support channel listed on our site. Where we act only as a processor for content you submit, you remain responsible for the lawfulness of that content and for any notices or consents required from the people it concerns.
2. What We Collect
We collect only what is needed to operate your account: your email address, your authentication identifiers, the date you signed up, the date you last logged in, your recorded acceptance of these documents, and any content you explicitly submit through the Service (for example, feedback). Limited technical data such as IP address and request metadata may be processed by our infrastructure providers for security and abuse prevention. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising analytics.
3. Why We Collect It
To authenticate you, operate, maintain and secure your account and the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to support requests, comply with legal obligations, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
4. Legal Basis
Where the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) or the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process personal data on the basis of performance of our contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, your consent where required, and our legitimate interest in operating, improving, and securing the Service and defending our rights.
5. What You Must Not Submit
Please do not submit special-category or otherwise sensitive personal data (such as health, financial, biometric, or government-identifier data), data about third parties without a lawful basis, or confidential information you are not entitled to share. You are solely responsible for any such data you choose to submit, and we accept no liability arising from it.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising. We share data only with service providers strictly necessary to operate the Service (for example, authentication, hosting, database, and email delivery), under confidentiality and data-protection obligations, and where required by law, court order, or a competent authority, or to protect our rights, safety, or property, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
7. International Transfers
Personal data may be processed outside Switzerland or the EEA by our infrastructure providers. Where this occurs, we rely on the contractual, organisational, and technical safeguards those providers make available, such as standard contractual clauses. We are not responsible for the independent acts or omissions of those providers.
8. Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. Deleting your account from the profile menu removes your account data promptly, subject to short-lived provider backups, data we must retain to comply with law, and data we may retain in anonymised form or as necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims or prevent abuse.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls and encryption in transit. No online service can be guaranteed secure, we make no warranty that a security incident will not occur, and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or loss of data that occurs despite reasonable measures. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and your devices secure.
10. Your Rights and Choices
You can update or delete your account at any time from the profile menu. Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction, deletion, restriction, or a portable copy of your personal data, or object to certain processing. We may need to verify your identity and may decline requests that are unfounded, excessive, or would infringe the rights of others or our legal obligations. We do not make decisions producing legal effects about you based solely on automated processing.
11. Complaints
If you believe your data-protection rights have been infringed, please contact us first so we can address it. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority, such as the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your local EU/EEA authority.
12. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes
We may update this policy at any time. Material changes take effect when reflected by an updated "Last updated" date, and we may ask you to accept the revised documents before continuing to use the Service.
14. Contact
For privacy questions or data requests, please reach out via the support channel listed on our site.
